Como Car Week 2025 - Family and Passion
Lake Como in May: part holiday with the family, part pilgrimage for any car enthusiast. Three days of passion, mountains, and the kind of cars you only see in books.
This year was my first time at Como Car Week. I went there with a simple idea: combine passion with family time. And it worked - three unforgettable days on the lake.
On Saturday we joined Wheels & Weisswürscht, hosted by HFMSTRS together with BMW Classic. My E30 had been invited, but the logistics were too much this time. Maybe this year with the Alpina? Still, the event itself was pure joy - relaxed, authentic, filled with people who share the same obsession.

Cernobbio was buzzing all weekend. The streets felt alive with rarities you barely see outside of magazines - and yes, the photos prove it.

Sunday was the legendary parade from Villa d’Este to Villa Erba, when concours cars hit the road. Watching a Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Spider roll by, or a Ferrari F40 LM, felt surreal. These are true unicorns, and seeing them move, not satatic behind ropes, is what makes this event so special.

Despite the aura of exclusivity built around the Concorso d’Eleganza (and it really is elitist at that level), Villa Erba is the opposite: open, welcoming, almost family-like. My 2.5-year-old even got his first “driving license” on a BMW. Yay!

We’ll definitely be back. Because beyond the cars and the lake, Como also means the mountains are just around the corner - and you know how much we love mountain passes.
Family or not, passion always finds a way.
